We come to you
From £220, no hidden fees

Mobile DPF cleaning and diagnostics across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and North West London, out to Milton Keynes, Oxford, Reading and Cambridge.

We don’t just clear codes. Every call-out includes a full 12-point diagnostic check, so you find out what actually caused it. From £220, fully insured, 30 years under the bonnet.

  • Full 12-point check on every call-out
  • On-site cleaning, filter stays on the car
  • Before and after backpressure report in your hand

Your Dashboard Is Trying to Tell You Something

Ignore it and a £220 clean turns into a £2,000 replacement.

  • DPF or engine warning light on the dash
  • Loss of power or sluggish acceleration
  • Fuel consumption creeping up
  • A strong smell or visible smoke from the exhaust
  • Regeneration cycles that keep failing or won’t finish

Catch it early and it is a straightforward job. Leave it and the filter can crack, clog solid, or drag other components down with it. That is the difference between a morning call-out and a new part.

The MotorDoc Pro check

Every Call-Out Starts With the Same Check

You booked a DPF clean. You still get the full check, because the filter is rarely where the problem starts.

A blocked DPF is a symptom. Something upstream put the soot there, and if we clean the filter without finding it, you will be booking us again in two months. So before anything gets touched, the whole system gets read.

Twelve checks. On every call-out. Included in the price.

  1. Full system scan
  2. Live running data
  3. Airflow
  4. DPF pressure sensor and pipework
  5. Exhaust backpressure
  6. EGR valve, live actuator test
  7. EGR cooler and thermostat
  8. Emissions sensors and AdBlue dosing
  9. Regeneration history and exhaust temperatures
  10. Fuelling and turbo
  11. Hands on the car: pipes and hoses
  12. Battery, charging and wiring

Number 11 is the one most places skip. Not everything shows up on a laptop. A split turbo pipe bleeds away your boost and loads the filter, and it will not always throw a code. That one needs hands on the car.

Real Jobs, Real Faults

Vauxhall Insignia 1.6 CDTI: the valve wasn’t the problem

A new EGR valve had already been fitted. We actuator-tested it and it was working perfectly. The real fault was a fouled EGR cooler and a thermostat stuck open, so the engine never got hot enough to burn off its own soot. Replace the valve and miss that, and the fault comes straight back.

Kia 1.7 CRDi: chasing a blockage that didn’t exist

Abnormal soot readings. The filter was not the issue: the differential pressure sensor had a split diaphragm and was reporting a blockage that was never there. We also found a turbo oil leak left behind by a previous garage, and told the customer exactly where that liability sat.

Land Rover Evoque: a sensor killed by low voltage

An emissions fault that would not stay cleared. The upstream NOx sensor had been sitting at low voltage long enough to be permanently damaged, and no amount of code-clearing brings one of those back. The battery needed replacing too. This is why the electrical check is in our twelve.

How It Works

  1. Advanced diagnostics. Dealer-level tools, live engine data, the full 12-point check before anything is touched. If a sensor or hose has failed, we can replace it on the spot.
  2. On-site 3-stage chemical clean. Dissolves soot and ash while the filter stays on your vehicle. No removal, no strip-down.
  3. Forced regeneration and reset. Controlled regeneration, ECU reset, fault codes cleared.
  4. Backpressure test and warranty. A final test proves the result in numbers, and you drive away covered for 30 days.
